Although we do not have a car park on site, there are multiple options surrounding our hotel. In peak season when parking is chargeable, the Rover Ticket is the cheapest and easiest option for parking. Please see details on the Rover Ticket below.
On-street parking is available all along Marine Parade in Great Yarmouth and is free of charge between November 1st and March 31st.
Street parking is chargeable from 1 April to 31 October, up to 4 hours parking costs £4.50, or all day parking costs £7.00.
ROVER TICKET;- The Council has a Rover Ticket option available, a 72 hour ticket which runs from noon priced at £13.00. which allows you to park in numerous Council car parks (North Drive and Anchor Gardens included). You can purchase the Rover Ticket online at www.great-yarmouth.co.uk, over the telephone on 01493 846346 or over the counter in the Tourist Information Centre, located in the middle of the seafront’s Marine Parade. This cannot be purchased from the hotel.
1) The North Drive Car Park, 5 North Drive, Post Code NR30 2EQ, has 248 places and is a two minute walk from The Prom Hotel. Cars can be parked for up to 4 hours at a cost of £5.50. The North Drive Car Park is also a long stay car park, and you can leave the car overnight. It has a barrier that goes down at 9pm and is opened at 8am. The current charge is £8.50 for the day, 8am to 9pm.
2) The Anchor Gardens Car Park, 52A Marine Parade, Post Code NR30 2EN, has 19 spaces and is 4 minutes walk from the Prom Hotel. Cars can be parked for up to 2 hours at a cost of £4.60p and £3.00 per hour thereafter.
3) Beach Coach Station, Nelson Road North, Great Yarmouth, NR30 1EN, is a long stay car park less than 100m from the seafront and has parking for 117 cars including 10 spaces for the disabled. There is also space for up to 100 coaches and lorries. Left luggage facilities are available on Saturdays only. Open all the time. Prices Summer (1 April to 31 October) Monday to Sunday 8am to 9pm Summer (1 April – 31 October) Up to 4 hours – cost £5.80. Over 4 hours – cost £9. Between 9pm to 8am £1.50 Winter (1 November to start of BST) All day – cost £1.50 Between 9pm to 8am £1.50.
Any blue badge holders can park on the seafront (on street) in a parking bay for free, time unlimited. This also applies to parking within the Residents Permit Zones. Blue Badge holders have to pay in the car parks.
